When conducting research, I make sure to thoroughly explore both product usage and user feedback or sentiment to gather as many key data points as possible. I strongly believe that efficient research empowers the team to pivot effectively at any point in the process.
They attribute this to my three main strengths: a deep admiration for challenges, lightning-fast thinking, and the ability to understand external ideas with just a few details. I love to learn and enjoy it purely, which allows me to jump into projects with full enthusiasm.
One of my colleagues once swore I had a memory like a steel trap. My notation system allows me to recall the details of past conversations, workshops, and interviews. This way, I can keep pertinent information front and center at all times.

I recommend to all that will listen: that the product trio work together in all phases of the double-diamond process, as much as possible. Doing so allows for greater collaboration and stronger team alignment for stakeholder management. In addition, it ensures a higher quality delivery in an agile development environment.

After one year of living through the pandemic isolated in Arizona, my family and I decided to spend our free time and vacations traveling in our renovated travel trailer. The trailer is spacious enough for me to have a designated desk area that can also be used as a standing desk. Working while on the road, whether it be on a farm in Oregon, parked in Utah, or up the coast of California, provides me with ample energy and inspiration to continue pushing my design productivity day-in and day-out.
As of today, I have worked while visiting or passing through the following states: Texas, California, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and New Mexico. Last summer, we traveled up to British Columbia with the hope of making our way to the East Coast next.
It can be a challenge to find a rhythm when working with different agile teams, scrum masters, product managers, and directors.
I developed this visual to help my teammates understand where and how design works within an agile framework – how the double diamond works it’s way into the team’s weekly ceremonies. This work allowed us to create a cadence for UX research, artifact development, and prototype setup that aligned with sprint planning.
